Single-Shaft-Shredder: Range WL 4 - WL 30 |
|
 |
 |
 |
 |
| The all-purpose,
reliable shredder! |
|
|
The WL 4 and WL
4 S are the "classical" wood shredders and the WL 10 to 30
models are used for larger quantities of wood waste. WEIMA has
the right solution for every type of application and each
model can be adapted to the customer’s needs. All the
machines are manufactured in line with the standards of the
wood processing industry. The basic model can be modified
according to specific requirements (e.g. desired output,
hopper shape and rotor types). |

Features |
WL 4 - WL
4S The all purpose shredder for every type of wood
waste |
The WL 4 – WL 4
S series of shred- ders are in operation in thousands of small
and medium sized companies worldwide. They are particularly
popular because of their extremely robust construction and
durability even if they are operated outdoors. The huge
amount of WL shredders installed and in operation worldwide
reflects the success of the machines providing a reliable
solution to waste reduction at a reasonable price. |
WL 6 - WL
6S The efficient shredder for large quantities of
wood |
The WL 6– WL 6 S
series of shredders are used for shredding large volumes of
wood waste. The machines are fitted with 800 mm wide
rotors. The WL 6 (and bigger machines) with the 22 kw
powered motor are equipped with a hydrodynamic starter clutch
so that even when the hopper is full, the smooth running of
the rotors is guaranteed. |
WL 10 - WL
30 The reliable shredder for large quantities of industrial
wood waste |
| The WL 10– WL 30
series of shredders are used for shredding large volumes of
industrial wood waste. The machines are fitted with
1,000 – 3,000 mm wide rotors depending on the model and are
powered by a 22 - 90 kw or a double sided motor with 2 x 75
kw. The power of the motor depends on the material to be
shredded as well as the number of knives in use and the
required output. |
| Further
technical features of the WL 4 to WL 30 series |
| The material is
fed to the hopper from the hydraulically driven drawer, which
regardless of weight or bulk, forces the material onto the
turning rotors. The material is then shredded between the
rotor knives and the fixed counter knife. The sides of the
drawer are so constructed that no material can be fed
incorrectly between the hopper and the machine housing. The
wood chippings can be extracted by an air suction system, by a
screw-transport or a conveyor belt. |
 |
|
 |
| Strong Motor |
|
Protected
Hydraulics |
| The machines are powered
by electric motors with up to 22kw (WL 4, WL 4 S), 37 kw (WL
6, WL 6 S) and 90 kw (WL 10 - 30). The WL 10- 30 series can
also have a double sided-motor with 2 x 75 kw which give the
driving force to the rotors through the hydro clutch, V-belt
and gear box. |
|
The hydraulics of the
drawer are situated inside the body of the machine and are
therefore protected from dust and damages. The hydraulic
cylinder is cardanically installed so that unwanted shearing
force on the piston can be avoided. |
 |
| Quick
discharge of materials |
| The shredded
material is extracted through the screen which is located
under the rotors. The various screen sizes available (10 - 40
mm by WL 4, WL 4 S, WL 6 and WL 6 S; 10 - 100mm by WL 10 -30)
determine the size of the end product. |
